“The 3100RD puts the whole back of the trailer into one open living room — a 50-inch TV over a 48-inch fireplace, a tri-fold sofa down each side, and theater seating and a free-standing dinette just forward of it. The queen bed sits in a private front bedroom with overhead cabinets and its own exterior entry door, so the trailer works as two separate spaces. Grand Design’s four-season construction shows up in the enclosed underbelly, the gas ducted forced-air furnace, and two ducted roof air conditioners running on 50-amp service. Outside there is a 19-foot power awning, a universal docking station, an LP quick connect, a drop-frame pass-through storage compartment, and a Step Above three-step aluminum entry. It rolls on Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 tires over aluminum rims, with a covered spare on the rear carrier and a weight-distribution and sway-control hitch that goes with the unit.
